What is USL Youth?
Evolving from the historic Super Y League, USL Youth provides alignment between the USL’s youth initiatives and the full USL ecosystem’s youth-to-pro pathway. It focuses on building and engaging a vibrant youth soccer community through events, content, and experiences, providing an integral step in the soccer journey of players, coaches, clubs, and families. USL Youth aims to meet you where you are on your soccer journey and support why you do it.

What We Offer
The Maryland Rush USLY summer program will include an 8-game USLY league schedule and two practices per week during the season. The program will include boys and girls in the U10-U14 age groups. The 8 games should include 4 homes games and 4 away games, with all away games being in the greater Washington area.
The season will begin in early June when the spring season ends and will continue until the USLY season concludes in late July or early August. U12-U14 teams have the opportunity to qualify for USLY Nationals in December 2025.
Who Can Tryout?
All boys and girls in the U10-U14 age groups. Starting this summer, the USLY will align with the new age group formation announced by US Youth Soccer. This updated structure will follow an August 1 to July 31 birth-year cycle.

Since the USLY is completely separate from MSYSA, players from other clubs will be eligible to tryout for our USLY teams. Players can register for our USL Youth tryouts at the following link:

What are the Roster Sizes?
Our USL Youth rosters will be slightly larger than many of our current teams to ensure we have a full complement of players even with players going on vacation. The makeup of the teams will depend on the number of interested players, but we are allowed to have two teams in each age group.
What is the Cost?
The cost of the program will be $550/player for the USLY season and includes a uniform. If U12-U14 teams advance to the USLY nationals in December additional fees will apply for players attending the event.
