Xcel 95 Joins Maryland Rush

Maryland Rush is happy to welcome the GU16 Nike Premier 95 (fka Xcel 95) coached by Kathleen Kerins as a new member of the club.  Xcel was the runner-up in WAGS Division 3 last fall and will be playing in the Region 1 Colonial League during spring 2012.  Xcel were semi-finalists in the Orange Classic in Ft Lauderdale, Florida in December 2011.  Xcel also played Kirkwood Frederick Premier Tournament Columbus Day weekend (Champion); the CASL College Showcase in November 2011, the Kirkwood College Showcase in November 2011. Previously, Xcel reached the semi finals in the top flight of the Columbia Fall Classic tournament 2010, losing in PKs. Xcel were finalists in the 2010 CASL Shootout, losing to the champion 1-0.  Xcel additionally were finalists in the U15 - Elite flight of the 2010 OBGC Labor Day Tournament.  Xcel also reached the semi finals of the Potomac Memorial Day tournament in both 2010 and 2009, losing to the eventual champion in the semi-finals.
